LA waives Maroon and Lewis, calls up Leier and Collberg from Ontario. Projected lines for next week are: Toffoli-Kopitar-Okposo/Johansson-Shore-Foligno/Zuccarello-Andreoff-Collberg/Leier-Marcantuoni-Kalinin. Johnson and Saari have swapped defensive partners as well. Cooper and Markiss must be praying for Foligno to get hot, and for Collberg to spark Zuccarello's speedy, play-making style.
Expect Quick to get a game off this week as well.

Despite having completed a blockbuster trade only days ago with Sabres GM Dixon, with both parties seemingly happy with the deal, Marcus Markiss gave an unusual, off the cuff remark about Dixon's earlier press conference, covered by the Buffalo News papers.
"He's calling [Ben] a hack, almost. Saying he's not clutch. It's buyer's remorse, is what it is," Markiss said, "Mr. Dixon coveted Johnny [Quick], and it's tough to see him go...but you have to feel for Ben. He just wanted to be with a team that wanted him back. [He wanted] to go to a team that saw him as more than a stop-gap,"
He continued, however, saying, "Mr. Dixon is a great guy. A good General Manager. But you don't blast players who have played well for you, because of an off-performance or two in the past. It's unprofessional, and it's just unkind to a guy who only wants to skate out in front of the net every night and play his heart out,"
However, when informed of Boston Bruins GM Beans's comments at a press conference of his own, Markiss gave a shrug and refused to comment, "I'm not calling a press conference. I've given you people enough gossip. Let's calm the drama and enjoy some hockey,"

Corey is correct, this is shaping up to be a good draft with some premium talent at the top end
