The 2016 iNHL Entry Draft will happen the weekend after the Playoffs are over, and we probably need to do it on Saturday or Sunday because of time difference. In other words, we are looking at either Saturday, Feb 27th or Sunday, Feb 28th.
Please let us know which day you prefer and also post if you have any preferences regarding time of the day (keeping in mind it shouldn't be in the middle of the night for either our European or North American GMs). If both dates work for you, you may select them both.
Some information on the Draft: we want to get as many as possible into a live chat/stream session, then hold the entire draft in one sitting where everyone says/writes who they want to draft when their turn comes up. For those who cannot participate, they will be asked to submit a list of who they want to draft beforehand. If they don't do that either, we will autopick for them.
We estimate that the whole Draft will take around 4-5 hours. If it takes 1 minute per pick (working efficiently), we have 210 picks and add to that a few breaks etc., we might be looking at 4-5 hours. That being said, we don't really expect anyone who doesn't want to, to commit 4-5 hours of their weekend to this thing. It is of course perfectly OK to submit a draft list beforehand or let us autopick for you. You can also attend part of the draft (for example the first rounds) and let us autodraft the rest/draft from your provided draft list.
The draft will be held within the game environment, meaning that we will process the picks directly in-game and everyone can view it through screen sharing in the stream session.
